I’ve been wanting to add local (Boston) cargo bike delivery to my offerings for a while, so when I bumped into the delivery guy from Metro Pedal Power the other day in front of my new building, I knew the time had come. I am over the moon excited to offer my customers in metro Boston the option to have their earth-friendly yoga mat delivered by the most earth-friendly (and awesome) delivery service available anywhere – cargo bikes!
Lotuspad will soon be teaming with Metro Pedal Power to deliver our mats to customers in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Charlestown, East Arlington, and Jamaica Plain for a very modest surcharge over our standard UPS ground rates. Think of it – your yoga mat will no longer have to journey from Somerville to Rhode Island then back again to reach you. (Not that we don’t love UPS or anything, but that’s kind of heavy carbon use, don’t you think?). Besides, how cool would it be to have one of those awesome bikes pull up in front of your home or office, the top pops open, and out comes your new yoga mat? (same day too, in many cases!)
